Fitness and well-being are an important part of life that I take great enjoyment from.
I have always enjoyed keeping active and endeavouring to follow a healthy lifestyle. I particularly enjoy obstacle races and endurance events such as triathlons, Ironman, trail marathons and ultra-marathons. I compete regularly all over the UK and consistently rank highly on the womens podium. The last few years have seen me qualify for many of the events top tier UK, Euro & World Championships.
My enjoyment comes from the many physical and metal benefits of an active and challenging lifestyle, the desire to constantly improve and learn, and the reward in using that knowledge and experience to help others to maintain, improve and obtain the best from themselves.
I understand the athlete mindset as well as their bodies. We all hate injuries and often wrestle through them in the hope they resolve themselves. I've been there and mostly they don't. Prevention is key to maintain performance and minimise injury risk. However, it does still happen and then listening to your body and getting the correct treatment and management will shorten any period of inactivity and crucially avoid any long term issues. I'm here to help you with both.
It's not just athletes and the young that can stay fit and healthy. The elerly, ill and injured also need to keep active and healthy too.
Over the past few years i have worked closely and consistantly with clients affected by age, accident or illness causing them restricted independence. By improving mobility, fitness levels, positive thinking, consistency and repetition through setting realistic weekly goals and working closely with other reffered therapist where needed the improvements, rewards and benefits are greatly noticable in the work i do. Seeing the rewards for my clients is a reward to me. I offer hourly, daily, overnight and temporary live in care.
Alongside this, nutrition is a huge support to the body.......i can help with nutrition advise and meal plans
